Answer: Because she dosen't have better dress like other people. On the other hand she doesn't have any jewels to wear in party. That why she was upset when her husband give her the invitation to the party.

Answer: Yes, because if I have money so, whatever I can buy for me. I can buy expansive dress and jewels to wear in the party. But sometime money was happyless for our life.
