Lincoln’s Brithday

Abraham Lincoln was 16th president of U.S.A. He was born in a log cabin near Kentucky. Lincoln was elected president in 1842. During Lincoln’s presidency in southern states seceded from the union because Northern states was against slavery. Became six week president the civil war began. The civil war lasted from 1861 until 1865. Lincoln married Mary Todd in 1842. They had four son, but only one survived childhood. Become the president he was lawyer and Republican politician. He had earned the nickname ‘’Honest Abe’’.
